User story

As a paid member, I want to see a preference-based editorial Home so I can find relevant content without losing editorial curation.

What the app should do

  • Saved interests and region visibly change the named Home collection.
  • Use the active Paid member role fixture for member-only actions. A free account or a professional identity does not supply paid access. The review identity is a genuine local account; another account’s checkout state stays separate.

Paid member

Start here: Home

Begin on the paid Member Home. Use the Paid member demo role or Casey Bennett in Try a demo account, then select Member in the account/workspace menu if necessary. This creates a genuine local session with a seeded no-charge test membership; it does not upgrade a different account.

Navigation from sign-in

  1. 01Open the fictional Paid member account through the connected sign-in service. Seeded Home review opens directly. Real HOL staff access and protected actions require an authenticator check.
  2. 02From paid Member Home select Edit your profile, or use footer My Backcountry → Profile → Edit profile. The feature starts in the four-step profile editor.

  1. 03Choose a Home region and proceed through the profile editor to Interests.
  2. 04Change the interests, continue, and select Save profile.
  3. 05Open Home and find the collection named for your interests and region.
  4. 06Return to the editor, change the choices again, and compare the Home collection.
