HOL-D031Story implementation: Planned

Explore richer maps and details for a place

User story

As a paid member, I want to explore a Whympr-powered place experience so I can move from Backcountry discovery to deeper map tools.

Draft requirements for review · Updated 2026-10-19

What the app should do

  • Concept clearly shows the proposed Whympr boundary and a handoff; no unsupported live data is claimed.
  • Use the active Paid member role fixture for member-only actions. A free account or a professional identity does not supply paid access. The review identity is a genuine local account; another account’s checkout state stays separate.

What to check in the demo

Follow these steps from the role’s landing page through navigation and feature checks.

Review as

Paid member

Start here: Home

Begin on the paid Member Home. Use the Paid member demo role or Casey Bennett in Try a demo account, then select Member in the account/workspace menu if necessary. This creates a genuine local session with a seeded no-charge test membership; it does not upgrade a different account.

Navigation from sign-in

  1. 01Open the fictional Paid member account through the connected sign-in service. Seeded Home review opens directly. Real HOL staff access and protected actions require an authenticator check.
  2. 02Select Explore in the main navigation and select Mount Mansfield or another place on the map.

Feature checks start here

Places · Full workflow planned

Follow current navigation as far as available; remaining navigation and feature checks describe the intended flow once built.

  1. 03Current UI review: follow the navigation as far as the explicitly available screen; the complete feature below is not built. Stop when the named control is absent.
  2. 04Planned acceptance — open a place and find its deeper-map-tools entry.
  3. 05Planned acceptance — Review what Backcountry provides and what the proposed Whympr experience provides.
  4. 06Planned acceptance — Follow the clearly labeled handoff and check how to return to Backcountry.
  5. 07Planned acceptance — Confirm that the concept does not imply an active integration or live map data.

Before this can work

  • Begin on the paid Member Home. Use the Paid member demo role or Casey Bennett in Try a demo account, then select Member in the account/workspace menu if necessary. This creates a genuine local session with a seeded no-charge test membership; it does not upgrade a different account.
