HOL commercial manager
An HOL staff member responsible for advertiser, sponsor, and partner relationships. Justin is associated with ad sales in the September 8 meeting, but this page describes a product job, not Justin personally or a confirmed staff assignment.
Primary goalCreate valuable, clearly labeled commercial participation that supports member use and can be delivered with editorial trust intact.

A path through the work.
A proposed sequence from the working persona. Access, approvals, and handoffs still need HOL review.
Manage organization relationship
review normal ownership claim/evidence
request information or approve/decline
escalate disputed exceptions
coordinate commercial proposals and delivery
review Commercial Partner applications in follow-up
report relevant results
What could get in the way.
A usable inventory of opportunities, clear approval stages, consistent labeling, evidence of partner value, and a boundary between sales commitments and editorial decisions. Self-service sales and campaign management remain undecided. Prepare organization public-fact proposals linked to private partner records when relevant, without exposing contacts/contracts or implying that every listed organization is a sponsor.
Role relationship.
Internal HOL Commercial assignment, separate from external org owners/managers and Commercial Partner status. Handles normal ownership claims, including free pages; escalates disputes/exceptional recovery. Reviews Commercial Partner applications in follow-up. Basic org updates are owner/manager self-service; editorial/sponsored content retains separate approvals.
What this rests on.

Working hypothesis; not a finding from member interviews or an approved production role.
